Places to Visit in Kumarakom

Aruvikkuzhi Waterfalls
Aruvikkuzhi Waterfalls is located 18km from Kottayam town. This beautiful picnic spot is 2 km down a mud lane from Kumarakom and waters roar as they cascade down the mountains from a height of 100 ft.

Aranmula
Aranmula is the site of the splendid Onam festival boat races. Aranmula is located 50km from Kottayam. Usually boat race happens in early September. These races are essentially religious based on a temple festival. Aranmula is also the centre of bell metal mirror crafts.

Kettuvallam sunset or sunrise cruise.
No trip to Kumarakom is complete without a trip on Sunset & Sunrise Cruise on a Kettuvallam. Palm-filled lagoons, an enchanting view of wooded islands and the main lands are poetically beautiful scenes. The ride offers a close look into a delightful rustic life.

Pathiramanal
